"ERROR NOT BINARY MACRO."

This error is usually related to Windows NT4.0

1. I'd suggest checking to make sure your modem is using the right drivers in modems in the control panel and that there aren't to many incorrect modems listed in modems in the control panel

2. Reinstall the modem using the manufacturers driver disk/cd.

3. Uninstall/reinstall RAS/DUN on the PC

4. For Windows NT4.0 check to make sure: AD.INF, MODEM.INF, and SWITCH.INF in C:\SYSTEM32\RAS are not marked as read-only and you (you as the user) have write permissions for those files.
