This is an odd, and you will very seldom if ever see this error message.

For your dialin/pppoe (DSL) connection, I would suggest deleing the connectoid/restarting then rebuilding that connectoid.

Uninstalling/rebooting/reinstalling DUN (Dial Up Networking) is another option.
